my hobbies are painting oils/ acrylics,

Playing my Yamaha PSR S900 keyboard and surfing the internet.

I also belong the fishsim fraternity and fish online matches weekly.

My name is Dave Lawrence and I live in Lincoln -uk. I am 70 yrs old and retired at 63 to look after my wife who had a brain aneursym

My working life consisted of 5 years apprentice at Ruston Hornsby diesel engine works followed by 4 years as an engineer officer in the merchant navy with the Blue Funnel Line sailing out of Liverpool

When I came out I rejoined R&H  which was then called English Electric Diesels then renamed RGT Gas Turbines and finally renamed Alstom Power Ltd.

I spent 39 yrs there, working as a  gas turbine fitter,and for the last 10 years i worked in the offices as a planning engineer.

I am married to jackie and we have 2 daughters Vikki and Liza,both married and we have 5 grandkids Gary(24), Holly(18), Zoe(17),Robert(16)and Daniel(14).

We live in a 2 bedroom bungalow on a sheltered housing estate which comprises 38 bungalows, we have a resIdent warden who is on call when ever you need his services.

I go painting once a week - on a  thursday for acrylics. I have just taken a interest in digital painting which I am quite enjoying.

Portraits in oils are my favourite subjects but I find them very hard but love the challenge.
